Diploma in Electrical Engineering
Electricity has become a vital form of energy in our day-to-day life. All of us are aware about its importance in various applications. We are offering Diploma level course in Electrical Engineering,
The Department of Electrical engineering of this institute has been the most focused department, carrying out various activities like training and placement, building electrical maintenance looking after the girls' and boys' hostels etc. The department started in the year 1966 with the intake capacity of 60 students and now at this juncture the intake capacity has been increased to 240. Present revised intake is 90 from 2020-21.
In order to strengthen the practical know-how for the theoretical background studied by the students, we are equipped with the state of the art laboratories. The department has its own Machine, Electronics and Power laboratories and a versatile computer center, being an apple in the eyes of other institutes. At present the renovation of the Machine lab. is at the verge of its completion and will be the unique lab amongst the other institute.
The department has sophisticated equipments in the areas of Microprocessor, Power System, Cable Fault Finders, Relaying etc. Looking to the present scenario and the scope for the job opportunities the trend of this department has always been heartening and appears to be stable with the strong signals of Kaizen.
